Two Modes of Recovery:

  • Standard Scan: The fastest mode of data recovery that extracts user mailboxes from corrupt EDB database and then saves recovered data in .PST file format.
  • Advanced Scan: This mode extracts mailbox data from severely corrupt EDB database and saves the recovered data in .PST file format. This mode should be selected when the Standard Scan mode fails to recover the user mailbox data.

Advanced Settings to optimize and improve EDB repair process:
  • Use message table to get "From" field: Select this option if the software displays junk text in the "From" field of the emails or this field is blank. On selecting this option, software will search for the "From" field at alternate location in EDB database.
  • Use Disk Space: Select this option to allow software to use disk space while scanning and recovering EDB items. Select this option when the EDB file is too large (in GBs or TBs).
  • Select EDB File Version: When the Standard Scan mode fails to recover the user mailboxes from the selected Exchange database, the tool switches to Advanced Scan mode and asks to select the Exchange Server version with which the EDB file is created.
